Thirst - a film about the privatization of water resources

Join us for a FREE screening of this award winning movie on Thursday, June 25th at the Hill Community Room. Snacks and beverages for all who attend. There will be a short talk and a question and answer session to follow the screening.

Global corporations are rapidly becoming involved with local water supplies, trying to combine private profits with what many feel should be a fundamental right to water access. Thirst reveals how water is becoming the catalyst for explosive community responses to the management of this precious resource.

Rallies

ACCNovato is planning rallies to be held at high traffic corners to inform the Novato ratepayers about the NSD Board plan to privatize the wastewater plants and send our tax money as profits to a European-owned corporation losing local control.

Novato Sanitary District Board Meetings- We Need You There!

ACCNovato needs your attendance at each and every NSD Board meeting. People need to speak about there opposition to privatization and ask questions of the board to keep them accountable. The more people the better! S.O.S. Keep our wastewater operations public and local!

ACCNovato successfully lobbied the Novato Sanitary District Board to move a meeting to a time when ordinary Novato citizens can attend. The Monday, July 27th Novato Sanitary District Board meeting will be held at 6:30PM, at the Hill Community Room, 1560 Hill Road, behind the Margaret Todd Senior Center.
